Letter from our doctors

04/29/2020

To our patients and community:

We hope this letter finds you and your family in good health. Our community has been through a lot over the last few months, and all of us are looking forward to resuming our normal habits and routines. While many things have changed, one thing has remained the same: our commitment to your safety.

We want to tell you about the infection control procedures we follow in our practice to keep patients and staff safe. Our office follows infection control recommendations made by the American Dental Association (ADA), the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). We follow the activities of these agencies so that we are up-to-date on any new rulings or guidance that may be issued. We do this to make sure that our infection control procedures are current and adhere to each agencies’ recommendations.

You may see some changes when it is time for your next appointment. We made these changes to help protect our patients and staff. For example:

  • All new patients or patients we have not seen for over a year, need to fill out new paperwork on our website PRIOR to your appointment. Please visit www.dceooms.com to access the online paperwork.
  • When you arrive to our office, please stay in your car and call our office at 309-663-2526 to check in.
  • Our office will continue to ask some screening questions prior to you entering our office.
  • You will need to bring a face mask to your appointment. When you enter our office, you must wear a mask as a requirement mandated by Governor Pritzker. This will be in effect from May1st until further notice.
  • We have hand sanitizer that we will ask you to use when you enter the office.
  • If a patient is under the age of 18 or you are being sedated for your procedure, we will only allow one other person in the office during your appointment.
  • Appointments will be managed to allow for social distancing between patients. That might mean that youre offered fewer options for scheduling your appointment. We are also looking into telecommunication to minimize office visits for some of our routine follow ups.
  • We will do our best to allow greater time between patients to reduce waiting times for you.
  • And as always, if you are experiencing any COVID-19 symptoms such as dry cough, fever or taking care of a family member who is or suspected to be positive, please contact our office before arriving to your appointment.

We look forward to seeing you again and are happy to answer any questions you may have about the steps we take to keep you, and every patient, safe in our practice. To make an appointment, please call our office at 309-663-2526

Thank you for being our patient. We value your trust and loyalty and look forward to welcoming back our patients, neighbors and friends.

Sincerely,

Dr. Capodice
